Join the Boomer Shed
The Boomer Shed is an inclusive community shed for both men and women over 50 in South Auckland. Since 2015, the Boomer Shed has offered a space for older people to get stuck into a range of community projects and their own projects while socialising and meeting new people. Our facilities
Located in a fantastic space at the Beautification Trust in Manurewa, the Boomer Shed is where positive ageing communities can feel welcomed, safe, valuable, independent, connected and can contribute to the communities they live in. Plus, we have a lot of fun here too!
The facilities include a fully equipped craft room, semi-commercial kitchen, impressive woodwork and engineering shed, community garden and social space.
Schedule
The Boomer Shed is open Monday to Friday, 9 am – 12pm
We provide a scrumptious morning tea at around 10:30 am, with snacks, tea and coffee.
