At the Beautification Trust, we’re proud to be part of Environment Hubs Aotearoa (EHA) – a collective of 21 independent sustainable trusts and environmental centres across the motu, working together to create lasting change in our communities and natural landscapes.

Yet, despite this urgency, the government has cut funding for environmental initiatives, including the recent termination of the long-standing Community Environment Fund.
This critical loss of operational funding puts immediate pressure on grassroots hubs like ours and others nationwide, as we navigate how best to continue delivering essential services and programmes that support biodiversity restoration, food sovereignty, sustainable living, and more.
